Abstract:
Disclosed are a paging method and apparatus, which fall within the technical field of communications. The method comprises: based on the current paging situation of each user equipment (UE) and a UE identifier of each UE, acquiring first paging indication information and at least one piece of second paging indication information, one bit of the first paging indication information being used for indicating whether there is a paged UE in a group of UEs, and one bit of one piece of second paging indication information being used for indicating whether one UE in one group of UEs is paged; on a first paging time domain resource, broadcasting the first paging indication information, the first paging time domain resource multiplexing a time domain resource used by synchronization information; and on a second paging time domain resource, broadcasting the at least one piece of second paging indication information. In the present disclosure, the occupation of transmission resources is reduced by means of broadcasting paging indication information.
