Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a paint composition that changes color or becomes transparent by absorbing water and that is suitable for applying to water pipes or connecting portions thereof in order to detect water leakage and for applying to an outdoor or indoor structure, such as a concrete structure or the like. [Solution] Provided is a paint composition containing a low-refractive-index pigment and a binder, wherein a mixture in which a polyvinyl alcohol and an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a polyolefin resin that is graft-modified by using a derivative thereof are mixed at a specific ratio is employed as the binder. This paint composition can be used to coat various items in accordance with the intended usage.
