Abstract:
Provided are a novel palladium catalyst which is very safe and recyclable, and a method for producing a novel bisaryl compound using the palladium catalyst. When an aromatic halide and an aromatic boronic acid are reacted in the presence of a palladium catalyst and base to produce a biaryl compound, the palladium catalyst used is a palladium catalyst formed by fixing, on a porous carrier, a palladium compound dissolved in an ionic liquid, and then covering the fixed compound with a polymer.
