Abstract:

Provided is a panaxdiol-type ginsenoside derivative having a structure as shown in formula I or formula II. Also provided is the use thereof in the preparation of a drug for preventing and treating atherosclerosis. The panaxdiol-type ginsenoside derivative has low cytotoxicity, can significantly reduce the percentage of the area of atherosclerotic plaque in an apoE -/- mouse, can also effectively reduce the level of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and increase the level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in mouse serum, can significantly reduce the level of TNF-αin an apoE -/- mouse local artery and has a good anti-inflammatory effect; and, at a dose of 30 μM, can significantly reduce the degree of the formation of RAW264.7 cell-derived foam cells. In addition, the preparation method for the panaxdiol-type ginsenoside derivative has simple operations and a high yield.
