Description:
A PANEL RADIATOR OF GUIDING HEATING MEDIUM IN THE HEATING CHANNELS

Technical Field

The invention relates to an apparatus for increasing the heating performance of radiators with a central inlet that are used in the heating sector.

The invention is particularly related to an apparatus that allows an aluminum sectional heating radiator to operate with high efficiency by making the inlet and outlet water connections from the bottom, in the middle of the radiator.

Prior Art

A radiator is described as a heating tool consists of sectional channels made of cast iron, steel or aluminum that transmit heat from fuel combustion or hot fluid circulation. In its simplest form, the working principle of the radiator consists of following steps: a fluid heated in a boiler or combi boiler, which is usually water, passes through the pipes that provide the connection between the boiler or the combi boiler and the radiator, and thus heats the radiator. At this point, energy is used to heat the fluid. Aluminum is a very good heat conductor and a very light material due to its nature. Due to their lightweight material properties, aluminum radiators put less stress on the structure they are sitting on. In addition, this type of radiators is resistant to rust and corrosion, so that they can be used for many years. When all these features are evaluated together, aluminum radiators are the most preferred type of radiators for heating areas such as rooms, shops, classrooms etc.

The inlet/outlet connections of the aluminum radiators produced today can be made from the right and/or left sides, also there are radiator types where the water inlet/outlet from the bottom is provided. However, at the bottom and middle connections, especially in radiators away from the heating device, the water circulating in the channels inside the radiator is not able to pass through all channels. As a result of this, cold areas are formed on the radiator and the radiator is not able to operate at full efficiency. Figure 1 shows a schematic view of the said radiator and connection structure. As can be seen, in the existing systems, the water entering from the hot water inlet travels through the nearby channels and low temperatures can be observed relative to the places marked with arrows in the corners.

The patent document no. TR 201 1 /09328 relates to a domestic panel radiator which reduces heat losses. The invention comprises a limited connection piece which allows the hot fluid to circulate first through the front panel of the radiator and then through the rear panel of the radiator, by limiting the hot fluid inlet to the radiator front and rear panels, a hot water conductor providing water passage between the front surface of the panel and the rear surface for the construction of the radiator with hot inlet on the side, a bottom connector which provides the water passage between the front surface of the panel and the rear surface for the construction of a radiator with hot water inlet from the bottom. In this system, severe heat losses are experienced during the transfer of hot fluid. This results in excessive use of energy, and increased cost, and inefficiency. Furthermore, in the said invention there is no mention of a structure for transmitting hot fluid to the upper collector of the radiator, just the transmission to the front and back panels are mentioned respectively.

As a result, due to the above-mentioned drawbacks and the inadequacy of the existing solutions, an improvement in the technical field has been required.

The Purpose of Invention

The present invention relates to a plumbing installation apparatus that meets the above- mentioned requirements, eliminates all disadvantages and brings some additional advantages.

The primary purpose of the invention is to prevent the formation of cold areas on the radiator due to the connection apparatus that is invented and to ensure that the radiator works with full efficiency.

Another purpose of the invention is to provide heating at maximum temperatures with minimum cost via the developed apparatus.

Another purpose of the invention is to prevent the energy consumption spent on heating the enclosed areas via the developed apparatus.

Another purpose of the invention is to develop easy-to-use, user-friendly radiators via the developed apparatus. In order to realize all the purposes mentioned above and which will arise from the detailed explanation below, the invention is a connection apparatus that is used in the radiators comprising the slice channels in which the heat transfer fluid from the heater circulates, a bottom collector positioned below said slice channels, in which the heat transfer fluid is collected to be returned to the heater, an upper collector positioned above the said slice channels, in which the heat transfer fluid is collected to be distributed to other slice channels, an outlet tip connected to said bottom collector in which said heat transfer fluid collected into said bottom collector is returned to the heater; and in these radiators that are used to heat a room, the said connection apparatus is connected to at least one of said slice grooves, thereby providing the incoming heat transfer fluid to be transferred to said upper collector, wherein; comprising,

- a flat or tapered upper tip which enters into said slice channels, directing the heat transfer fluid coming from the heater through the plumbing pipes towards the upper collector,

- a middle part connected to the said upper tip, and which can be mounted to said slice channels by means of an external thread or by a tight fit structure,

- a connection tip which is connected to the said middle part, which is able to connect to the plumbing pipes where the heat transfer fluid comes by extending out of the radiator,

- an O-ring that provides sealing by contacting the upper surface of the said bottom collector mentioned through the connection tip,

- an O-ring placed at said tapered connection tip, providing sealing between the said bottom collector and said slice providing fluid flow to the said upper collector.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, the connection apparatus (1 ) of the invention is explained only for a better understanding of the subject matter and without any restrictive effect.

The general view of the connection apparatus (1 ) in its assembled form is shown in Figure 2, while the front and side sectional views are shown in Figure 3 and Figure 4. A - preferably hot- heat transfer fluid, from a heater, circulates through the slide channels (5) in the radiator and warms the environment where it is located through the radiator. A bottom collector (3), which is disposed horizontally in the lower part of the radiator, placed at the bottom end of said slice channels (5) in which the heat transfer fluid is collected to return to said heater, and an upper collector (4), which is positioned horizontally in the upper part of the radiator, placed at the upper end of said slice channels (5), in which the heat transfer fluid is collected after taken from said heater. Water inlet and outlet to the said radiator is carried out through a connection apparatus (1 ) and an outlet tip (2). Said connection apparatus (1 ) is connected to one of the said slice channels (5) at the bottom end.

By means of said connection apparatus (1 ), the entering heating fluid comes to the upper collector (4) of the radiator via the slice channel (5) to which the connection apparatus (1 ) is connected, and down to the bottom collector (3) by means of the other slice channels (5), connected to it, and returns to the heater by means of the outlet tip. An important development in the invention is that the dimensions of the aforementioned connection apparatus (1 ) are large enough to cover the width of the bottom collector (3) so that it will not prevent the fluid flow from the bottom collector (3) to the outlet tip (2).

Said connection apparatus (1 ) consists of a flat or tapered upper tip (1 .1 ) entering into the slice channels (5), a mid-section (1 .2) connected to said upper tip (1 .1 ) which can be mounted to said slice channels by its external thread or tight fit structure, a connection tip (1 .3) connected to said mid-section (1 .2), extending out of the radiator and connecting to the plumbing where the heater fluid comes from, an O-ring (1 .4) providing sealing between said connection tip and said mid-section (1 .2), and an O-ring (1 .4) placed at said tapered connection tip, providing sealing between the said bottom collector (3) and said slice providing fluid flow to the said upper collector (4).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said connection tip (1 .3) is an internally geared pipe flanch.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said outer threaded mid-section (1 .2) comprises metric or Whitworth teeth.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sealing can be increased by means of a sealing member (1 .5) which is passed into the upper tip (1 .1 ) of the slice channels (5).

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the said heat transfer fluid is water.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said connection apparatus (1 ) can be obtained from brass, steel, plastic, aluminum and/or cast polyamide materials.

In the light of the above-mentioned information, an embodiment of the invention is carried out as follows. The fluid entering the radiator through a connection apparatus (1 ) that allows the heat transfer fluid from a heater to the radiator reaches the upper collector (5) through the slice channel (1 ) connected to the said connection apparatus (4). The liquid emitted to said upper collector (4) is transmitted from the other slice channels (5) to the bottom collector (3), and then to the outlet tip (2). In this way, the radiator is heated with high efficiency without having a cold zone.
