Disclosed in the present invention is a panoramic image generating system, comprising a lens module, a rotary module, a photometric module, and an image acquisition module. The photometric module is used for, under an automatic exposure mode, obtaining exposure parameters of the lens and fusing different groups of exposure parameters to obtain a fused exposure parameter; the image acquisition module is used for obtaining regional images at different angles, and the image acquisition module sends a plurality of regional images to an image synthesis module to synthesize a panoramic image. According to the present invention, the lens module is used as an image acquisition terminal, and on this basis, an entire system is constructed to carry out multi-point photographing, so that the resolution limitation is broken through, photographing of panoramic images is achieved, and because multiple regional images which are spliced to form a panoramic image are captured by the same lens, the consistency between the regional images is relatively high; moreover, by reasonably configuring a distance between a lens node and a rotary center of the rotary module, the image parallax is reduced, and the synthetic effect of panoramic images is good.
