Abstract:
Provided in the present invention are a panoramic presentation method and a device therefor. On hardware, the present invention uses the combined structure of a single fisheye projector and a spherical screen to present panoramic images, and uses the geometric relationship between the positions a fisheye lens and a viewer, as well as equidistant projection transformation, so that a 180° fisheye projection presents 720° ambient information to the viewer at the center of the spherical screen, which greatly simplifies the image transformation process and achieves zero distortion. On software, on the basis of a single virtual camera-based 720° panoramic image one-step generation algorithm, there is no need for the complicated step in which multiple cameras capture six pictures, which are synthesized into a cube map and then transformed into a panoramic image; instead, the scene vertex position is adjusted directly during the transformation process from a 3D space to a 2D image, so as to generate the final panoramic image in one step. A close combination of the software and hardware increases the image transformation speed more than six-fold, which is sufficient to display the real environment of content so that the viewer is immersed in an immersive experience, and transformation can occur in real time for interactions with the viewer.
