Abstract:
An image processing means (40) comprises a photographing unit (40A) which is comprised of an approaching vehicle detection means (43) for detecting a vehicle (1) from an input image (FIG. 5), a recording means (44) for recording the input image, and a control means (42) for controlling the initiation and cease of the operation of a photographing means (30) in accordance with a signal indicative of the approach of a vehicle and controlling the initiation and cease of the image recording operation of the recording means (44) in accordance with the presence or absence of the vehicle (1); and a pantograph retrieval function unit (40B) which is comprised of a pantograph retrieval means (47, 50, 51) for retrieving the presence or absence of a pantograph (1a) on the basis of the image recorded in the recording means (44), and an image output means (49) for displaying an image of the pantograph (1a) when the pantograph (1a) is detected. With this structure, it is possible to effectively store the images indicating the vehicle passing in the field of view of the photographing means (30) and automatically retrieve the pantograph (1a) from the recorded images.
