Abstract:
Disclosed is a paper currency receiving-treating apparatus (1) for fixing the number of paper currencies in a transaction unit. The paper currency receiving-treating apparatus (1) comprises a binding-object paper currency accumulating unit (21) for sequentially sorting and accumulating such ones of the paper currencies transferred as belong to a predetermined kind to be bound, a binding-side paper currency totalizing unit (41A) for totalizing the numbers of paper currencies classified and accumulated in the binding-object paper currency accumulating unit (21), as an unfixed number of received currencies, a paper currency binding unit (22) for binding the paper currencies of a predetermined number when the number of classified and accumulated paper currencies reaches the predetermined number, a tentative fixing unit (101) for tentatively fixing the number of the received but unfixed ones of the bound paper currencies being transacted in response to the paper currency binding timing, and a fixing unit for fixing, when a transaction completing operation is detected, the tentatively fixed and unfixed numbers of the received ones of the paper currencies being transacted, as the total number of the received ones of the paper currencies being transacted, and for registering and managing the number of the accumulated paper currencies being accumulated in the binding-object paper currency accumulating unit (21), as the previous fraction. The chance for disassembling the bound paper currencies at a trouble recovering time is reduced to improve the working load on the operator drastically.
