Title:
PAPER CUTTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/090346
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] After using a movable blade to cut paper, to prevent interference with the paper in a step where the movable blade reaches an open position, and to prevent a situation where the paper catches on the movable blade, resulting in paper bending or resulting in a jam. [Solution] This paper cutting device comprises: a movement mechanism (20) for moving a movable blade (B) away from an open position (X) where paper (S) being supplied with a blade tip (Ba) of the movable blade (B) opened with respect to a blade tip (Aa) of a fixed blade (A) is received, and for again positioning the movable blade at the open position (X); an urging mechanism (35) for urging the movable blade (B) toward the fixed blade (A) such that the blade tip (Ba) of the movable blade (B) slides relative to the blade tip (Aa) of the fixed blade (A); and a separation mechanism (40) for acting against the urging force of the urging mechanism (35) to separate the movable blade (B) from the fixed blade (A) at a step where, after the movable blade (B) is used to cut the paper (S), the movable blade (B) reaches the open position (X). The separation mechanism (40) is configured to comprise a cam (41) provided on the fixed blade (A) side, and a cam follower (42) provided on the movable blade (B) side, the cam follower being in contact with the cam (41).
