Abstract:

A paper forming device of a paper−making machine switchable to a structure suitable for the high−speed formation of thin paper and the formation of thick paper, wherein paper making material (S) is discharged from a head box (1) onto a wire (2), dehydrated by dehydrators (5) while being transferred by the wire (2), and further dehydrated by a suction box (6), a forming roll (13) allowing a felt (7) extending from the suction box (6) to be applied thereon is liftably disposed over the wire (2) near the head box (1) and, in thin paper forming, the forming roll (13) is lowered to form a nip between the wire (2) and the felt (7) so that the paper−making material (S) discharged from the head box (1) can be rather immediately held by the felt (7) and the wire (2).
