Abstract:
Provided is a paper sheet conveyance system by which an airflow generated by an air blowing device can be easily adjusted. This paper sheet conveyance system is provided with: an air blowing device that generates an airflow for conveying a paper sheet; a conveyance device that conveys the paper sheet by the airflow; and a control device that controls the air blowing device. The control device is provided with: a measurement unit that measures the velocity of the paper sheet in the conveyance device; and an adjustment unit that adjusts the airflow in accordance with a result of measurement. In addition, the control device is provided with a detection unit for detecting that the paper sheet has reached a deceleration region. When the velocity of the paper sheet in the deceleration region is faster than a specific velocity, the adjustment unit causes the air blowing device to generate an airflow in a direction opposite to that of the airflow for conveying the paper sheet.
