Abstract:
Provided is a paper sheet processing apparatus comprising a plurality of conveyance units (10) connected in the conveyance direction of paper sheets, wherein each of the plurality of conveyance units (10) comprises: paper sheet detection sensors (intake-side paper currency detection sensor L11a, intake-side paper currency detection sensor R11b, ejection-side paper currency detection sensor L11c, ejection-side paper currency detection sensor R11d) for detecting presence/absence of the paper sheets; a conveyance mechanism for conveying the paper sheets; a drive means for driving the conveyance mechanism; and a control unit (MPU 14) for controlling the drive means. The control means (MPU 14) controls the drive means to convey the paper sheets by the conveyance mechanism on the basis of detection results from the paper sheet detection sensors (intake-side paper currency detection sensor L11a, intake-side paper currency detection sensor R11b, ejection-side paper currency detection sensor L11c, ejection-side paper currency detection sensor R11d).
