Abstract:
The parallax calculating device 12 comprises an input unit 15 that acquires a stereo image including a first image and a second image and a control unit 16 that calculates the parallax by, while sequentially shifting a block that is a part of the second image from the initial position along a baseline direction, performing sequential matching with the first image. The control unit 16, in accordance with the shift amount of the block from the initial position, causes the pitch, which shifts the block to the next position, to differ.
