A parallel driving test system and method for an automated driving proving ground, comprising a control information priority analysis module, wherein the control information priority analysis module controls a remote control platform to analyze and process second information and third information acquired at a time point t, determine the priority of each piece of analyzed and processed control information, and control a vehicle according to the control information having a higher priority. The influence of a delay in an information transmission process on a vehicle travelling distance is considered, corresponding control information is generated according to collected vehicle data in combination with the edge computing technology, and then the priority of control information transmitted by a driving simulator and the priority of control information generated by means of the edge computing technology are analyzed, so as to implement effective control over a vehicle, ensure that when there is an obstacle in the heading direction of the vehicle, the vehicle can be effectively controlled to avoid the obstacle in time, and ensure the vehicle traveling safety.
