Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a parallel transmission method and apparatus. The method comprises: firstly, a first access point (AP) determines parallel transmission information of second APs in a second BSS that has an intersection with a first BSS, wherein the parallel transmission information comprises capability information of the second APs and identifier information of the second APs, the capability information comprises an antenna quantity or a maximum supported bandwidth, and the identifier information comprises identifiers of the second APs or an identifier of the second BSS; secondly, the first AP determines a second AP, the antenna quantity of which is less than a first preset value, as a third AP, or determines a second AP, the maximum supported bandwidth of which is less than a second preset value, as a third AP, determines a first reserved direction, and generates a first triggering transmission frame according to the third AP and the first reserved direction; and finally, the first AP broadcasts the first triggering transmission frame, so that a third station belonging to the third AP and a first station belonging to the first AP perform parallel transmission according to the first triggering transmission frame, thereby improving the utilization efficiency of channel resources.
