Abstract:
The present application discloses a parameter determining method and apparatus. The method comprises: after first information is received, a terminal apparatus in a satellite communication system can determine a second parameter according to the first information and a first parameter, wherein the first information can be used for indicating an association relationship between the first parameter and the second parameter. The first parameter is a parameter related to the coverage of a first satellite, and the second parameter is a parameter related to the coverage of a second satellite. The first satellite is a satellite providing service for the terminal apparatus, and the second satellite is a satellite that is about to provide service for the terminal apparatus. According to the method, the terminal apparatus receives the first information for indicating the association relationship between the first parameter and the second parameter, and then can determine the second parameter according to the first parameter, so that there is no need to acquire the second parameter from the first satellite or to determine the second parameter by actually measuring a signal of the second satellite, and thus, the energy consumption required for acquiring the second parameter can be reduced.
