Abstract:
The present invention improves vehicle stop position accuracy. This parking assistance device for assisting in parking a vehicle in a target stop position comprises: a travel distance calculation unit that calculates the travel distance of the vehicle on the basis of a wheel speed pulse; and a braking/driving force calculation unit that determines a remaining distance to the target stop position on the basis of the travel distance, and when the remaining distance becomes a value equal to or less than a predetermined value, switches control of the braking force of the vehicle from feedback control to feedforward control.
