Abstract:
The purpose is to ensure that a driver does not need to focus on a display when setting the position of a target parking space. A parking assistance device having an image generating function for generating an overhead image of the periphery of a vehicle (V), a vehicle speed acquiring function, a parking information presenting function for presenting setting auxiliary information including a parking space setting frame (F2) and a first adjustable frame (F2a) on a display (20), a target parking space setting function for setting a parking space corresponding to the position of the parking space setting frame (F2) as a target parking space, and a parking assistance function for assisting the parking operation. The parking information presenting function presents the first adjustable frame (F2a) before the process of setting the target parking space has begun, and presents the parking space setting frame (F2) when the process of setting the target parking space has begun.
