Abstract:
The present invention achieves a parking assistance device capable of parking assistance with a high degree of parking-position accuracy. This parking assistance device for assisting in vehicle parking operations is characterized by: comprising an available parking position calculation unit that calculates and updates the available parking position multiple times until the vehicle stops at the available parking position and a parking route calculation unit that calculates a parking route; the parking route calculation unit setting the minimum turning radius for calculating the parking route on the basis of the amount of displacement of the available parking position before and after the update, and calculating the parking route using the minimum turning radius; and the minimum turning radius being set to be greater than the minimum value of a vehicle-specific turning radius.
