Abstract:
According to the present invention, when a host vehicle is being parked in a manual mode, a parking assistance method using a parking assistance device detects the parking operation status of the host vehicle, and determines, on the basis of the parking operation status, whether or not a further attempt needs to be made to park the host vehicle in a target parking space, wherein if it is determined that a further attempt needs to be made to park the host vehicle in the target parking space, the parking assistance method outputs, to a user interface, guidance information for switching the parking mode of the host vehicle from the manual mode to an automated mode.
