Title:
PARKING ASSISTANCE METHOD AND PARKING ASSISTANCE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/100229
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This parking assistance method involves: storing, as learned object positions, a plurality of positions of objects detected around a target parking position when parking an own vehicle at a target parking position (S2); when the own vehicle travels in the vicinity of the target parking position after storage of the learned object positions, counting, for a plurality of learned object positions, the number of times the learned object positions match with a surrounding object position that is the position of an object detected around the own vehicle, and providing a higher reliability to a learned object position in which the number of times of matching with the surrounding object position is large as compared with a learned object position in which the number of times of matching with the surrounding object position is small (S12, S25); and making a comparison between a learned object position exhibiting at least a predetermined reliability threshold value among the learned object positions and the position of an object detected around the own vehicle, and calculating a relative position of the own vehicle with respect to the target parking position (S22).
