Description:
PARKING-GARAGE FOR CARS

Field of invention

The present invention is related to the industrial and machinery construction and especially to a new construction of a parking- garage for cars.

Background of invention

Decisions referring to devices [1 , 2, 3, 4] for parking of cars, are well known in the art. Under these decisions the parking-garages consist of floors and the lift installation has a single platform. The lift installations are constructed in such a way, that a single car can be placed in. They do not play the part of a garage device, but of a transport one. Under these garage systems the cars are lifted to the relevant floor, on which it is expected to be parked, and there the lift installation relieves of its burden by the moving of the cars to the vacant places.

These decisions have the disadvantage of the complex construction and comparatively expensive execution of these constructions. This is a consequence of the necessity of additional garage areas, which must be constructed in the form of multistory building fund. Under these constructions the time for parking of a car is comparatively long because of the fact, that the transport lift installation carries a car to the respective floor, relieves of its burden and goes back for the next one. Under the exploitation of these constructions there is a high consumption of time and energy, which leads to low efficiency of these installations.

Summary of the invention

An object of the suggested decision is to eliminate the above mentioned disadvantages and to create a new construction of garage-parking system, which is of a small area and holds vastly more cars than the conventional systems, under which the vehicles are arranged next to each other in one dimension of the earth surface or of the floors of the massive multistory garages. According to the invention, a new construction for parking (putting into a garage) of cars is created. The parking-garage is a construction of endless transport lift system. It consists of platforms for moving of the cars, which platforms are mounted upon two parallel profiles, which form rail road with straight vertical and elliptic horizontal sections. The two profiles are installed in an especially projected for the purpose ferro-concrete shaft or are fixed to a steel construction.

The leading mechanism of the parking-garage can be electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic and of another type, applied on more than one point on the two profiles for an easier operating of the burden (cars) on them.

The parking-garage can be mounted on the earth level, as well as under it. In this case, the plane of the level A, B, C, D, E, etc. of each of the platforms can be on earth level. The mechanism for insurance of constant horizontal position of the platforms consists of a cross-axis, mounted transversely upon the middle of each of the platforms. The axis is immovably mounted to the inner walls of the two profiles. Each of the profiles consists of an outer rim and of an inner rim. On the two rims are manufactured or mounted respectively leading outer and inner elbows. The rims and elbows are disunited in the upper and lower level of the elliptic horizontal sections of the rail road. The lateral elements of the

mechanism are produced in the mode of an anchor and are mounted respectively in the outer and the inner elbow of each of the two profiles. All the platforms are interconnected by steel ropes, which are placed with an opportunity for motion upon them, in immediate proximity to the profile elbows.

The advantage of this decision is the vastly small area, used for parking places for a great number of cars or other vehicles, which area is very expensive and is not sufficient in the central parts of the big cities.

Brief description of the drawings Figure 1 shows the parking-garage in a side elevation. Figure 2 is a front elevation of the parking-garage. Figure 3 is an axonometric elevation (front and side simultaneously) of the parking-garage, mounted in a closed room. Figure 4 is an axonometric elevation of the mechanism for insurance of constant horizontal position of the platforms in its vertical part of the whole construction.

Figure 5 shows in outline the mechanism for insurance of constant horizontal position of the platforms in its horizontal part. Figure 6-a is a section A-A of the mechanism for insurance of constant horizontal position, mounted in a leading profile. Figure 6-b is a section B-B of the mechanism for insurance of constant horizontal position, mounted in a leading profile.

Examples

The invention is illustrated by the following example. The parking- garage is a construction for parking (putting into a garage) of cars and represents endless transports lift system. It consists of platforms 1 , which are mounted on two parallel profiles 2 and 3,

which form rail road with straight sections 14 and elliptic sections 15. The straight sections 14 are vertical, and the elliptic sections 15 are horizontal. The profiles 2 and 3 are mounted in a ferro-concrete shaft 4, projected especially for the purpose, or are fastened to a steel construction 13 according to the cases, to which the device is applied. The steel construction 13 is used in the cases when few identical constructions for parking-garages of the kind are arranged next to each other because of the probability for better connections, which will carry the loading of the constructions of farm-type. The number of the platforms 1 depends on the opportunities of the leading mechanism. The last can be electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic and of another type, applied on more than one point upon the profiles 2 and 3 for an easier operation of the burden (cars) on them.

The parking-garage can be mounted on the earth level, as well as below it. In that case, the plain of the level A, B, C, D, E, etc. of each of the platforms 1 can be on the earth level. The mechanism for insurance of constant horizontal position of the platform 1 , on which the vehicle 5 is being parked, consists of an axis 6, which is mounted in the same way for each of the platforms 1 on the inner walls of the two profiles. Each of the profiles 2 and 3 consists of an outer rim 16 and an inner rim 17. On the rims 16 and 17 leading elbows 9 and 10 are produced or mounted. The same are disunited in the upper and lower level of the elliptic horizontal sections 15 of the rail road. The lateral elements 7 and 8 of the platforms 1 are produced in anchor mode and are mounted respectively in the elbows 9 and 10 in each of the profiles 2 and 3. The platforms 1 are interconnected by steel ropes 1 1 and 12. They are placed with an opportunity for moving upon them, in an immediate proximity to the elbows 9 and 10 of the profiles 2 and 3.

Applications

The construction, object of the invention, can be used mainly for parking of cars and other vehicles. The same vehicles approach the device on earth level or another elevation, produced especially for the purpose, and takes the places, restricted from the dimensions of the respective platform. After its stopping and insuring against unwarranted moving of the vehicle, the respective platform with the help of the moving mechanism moves to a point from the device trajectory, allowing another platform to take a position at the place for loading with another vehicle. In this way all the remaining platforms of the respective construction are loaded. Thus the construction is consecutively filled with cars till the moment of the loading of a car on the last vacant platform. The discharge takes place obviously in the reverse order - one after another the platforms position consecutively on the charge- discharge place on earth level and free from their burden.
