Abstract:
Provided is a parking lock device such that degradation of a parking lock mechanism can be prevented by precluding an electric actuator from being touched from the outside, and that the manufacturing cost can be reduced compared to conventional parking lock devices. For this purpose, this parking lock device is provided with an electric actuator (11) which operates according to shift manipulation, and a parking lock mechanism (12) which is driven by the electric actuator (11), and is capable of assuming a parking lock state where the stop state of a vehicle (1) is maintained and a parking release state where the stop state is released. The parking lock device is characterized in that the electric actuator (11) is disposed between a first housing (1H) which constitutes and an engine (2) that generates power, and a second housing (2H) which constitutes a transmission axle that transmits the power of the engine (2).
