Abstract:
A parking space detection system and method, and a smart parking platform, relating to the field of smart transportation. The parking space detection system comprises parking space units, a master controller unit, and a bus unit. The parking space units are responsible for processing the information detected by various sensors on individual parking spaces and transmitting the information to the master controller unit by means of the bus unit; upon the reception of the information of each parking space unit, the master controller unit merges the information and decides the usage of the parking spaces using a parking space decision algorithm according to the fused information, and then sends the decided information to a data processing center by means of a communication module, such that drivers and parking managers can obtain these data information from the data processing center by means of related applications. The system has the advantages such as high detection accuracy and low construction and maintenance costs. Moreover, the detection system can be installed in different types of parking lots and has high adaptability.
