Abstract:
A parking space reservation system and method in an urban environment, wherein: when a driver reserves a target parking space, issuing a vehicle identifier of the vehicle of the driver and reserved parking duration to a user to which the target parking space belongs, and sending the parking fee value per unit time that is entered by the user to the driver for confirmation; when an indication message used for indicating the confirmation of the reservation of the target parking space reported by the driver is received, generating a parking guidance path between the current vehicle position and the target parking space and sending the same to the driver for parking guidance; and when the vehicle drives away from the target parking space, deducting a corresponding parking fee and transferring the same to a charging account corresponding to the user to which the target parking space belongs according to the parking fee value per unit time and the actual parking duration of the vehicle at the target parking space. The present invention may enable a driver to conveniently search for a parking space so as to park, thereby improving parking efficiency.
