Abstract:
A partial weft insertion device capable of solving problems in the existing knitting machines wherein industrialization is difficult, labor and loss of yarn are produced, and the types of applicable knitting machines are limited and capable of partially inserting weft by adding the device to an existing knitting machine without requiring a dedicated knitting machine. When warps (81) are separated from each other (B), an insertion plate (1c) guiding the weft (86) for insertion by a yarn guide (1d) at its tip is rotated by an insertion drive body (1a) and inserted into a shed (K). Next, a sharp positioning needle (2a) is inserted between the warps (81) by a yarn end controller (2), and the weft (86) is inserted between the warps (81) by the reverse rotation of the insertion plate (1c). Then, beating is performed while retreating the insertion plate (1c), the insertion drive body (1a), and the yarn end controller (2). Thus, the fabric formed by partially inserting the weft (86) therein can be provided.
