Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: an accelerator 1 for generating and emitting particle beams; an irradiation device 21 for irradiating an irradiation target 26 with the particle beams; a gantry 18 that rotates with the irradiation device 21; and an MRI apparatus 50 that rotates with the gantry 18. The MRI apparatus 50 has a magnetic circuit comprising an iron core 60 and a plurality of coils 61 as magnetic flux sources. The iron core 60 is formed from two magnetic poles 63A, 63B facing each other and a return yoke 64 connecting the magnetic poles 63A, 63B. The magnetic poles 63A, 63B have cavities 65A, 65B. The particle beams are made to pass through the cavity 65A and impinge on the irradiation target 26.
