Abstract:

Provided is a particle-bearing fiber bundle that enables a good impregnation of a matrix resin in interfiber regions.　The particle-bearing fiber bundle according to the present invention comprises a fiber bundle, a plurality of inorganic particles disposed between the fibers of the fiber bundle, and a plurality of resin particles disposed between the fibers of the fiber bundle. Using Df in µm for the average fiber diameter of the fibers in the fiber bundle and using Da in µm for the average particle diameter of the inorganic particles, Da/Df is less than 1.6.
