Abstract:
A particle classifier with which particles can be efficiently and easily classified with high accuracy while minimizing the stress imposed on the particles, without requiring any complicated device or troublesome maintenance; a classification system including the classifier; and a method of classifying particles.
The particle classifier is for classifying and taking out particles contained in a dispersion held in a dispersion-holding part, and comprises a connection passage connected to the dispersion-holding part, a cone section, a straight section, and a discharge passage which have been arranged consecutively in this order from the bottom side. In the particle classifier, particles are classified by forming a circulating flow in the straight section before the dispersion flowing from the connection passage reaches the discharge passage.
