Abstract:
Provided is a particle-size-distribution measurement method for measuring the particle-size distribution of particulate matter having an unknown particle-size distribution, the particle-size-distribution measurement method including: an image acquisition step (S2) for acquiring a first CT image of a subject sample constituted of particulate matter; a statistics calculation step (S3) for specifying regions of interest by dividing the acquired first CT image into prescribed grid regions and for calculating first statistics concerning CT values, including grid-region statistics for the individual grid regions and global statistics for the whole first CT image; and a measurement step (S4) including a particle-size-distribution measurement step (S41) for measuring the particle-size distribution of the particulate matter in the subject sample on the basis of the first statistics and second statistics, the second statistics concerning a second CT image of a standard sample constituted of particulate matter having known particle sizes, and including the same kinds of grid-region statistics and global statistics as the grid-region statistics and the global statistics included in the first statistics.
