Abstract:
This particle sorting apparatus (1) comprises: a flow cell (60) including a flow channel (65), an imaging element (120), and a control unit (130). While continuously moving the flow cell (60) at a first speed, the control unit (130) roughly adjusts the position of the flow cell (60) on the basis of an image that relates to the flow axis of the flow channel (65) and has been acquired using an imaging element (120). While moving the flow cell (60) at a second speed slower than the first speed, the control unit (130) makes a final adjustment of the position of the flow cell (60) so as to maximize a first intensity of first light emitted from light-emitting bodies flowing through the flow channel (65).
