Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an airflow sorting machine with a simple device constitution that does not delay separation speed while maintaining separation precision.
[Solution] This airflow sorting machine is provided with: a first column into which a gas is introduced from the bottom and inside which a sample is made to flow; a heavy particle recovery device provided at the bottom of the first column; and a control device that controls the airflow speed by the amount of air introduced into the first column. The airflow sorting machine is characterized by a minute rotational flow generating mechanism being provided in the first column, by the airflow speed distribution within the tube cross-section of the first column being smoothed by forming a substantially W shape across the tube wall - tube center - tube wall, and by drop-down recovery of heavy particles within the sample by the heavy particle recovery device as well as recovery of intermediate particles and light particles with gas exhausted from top of the first column.
