Abstract:
Disclosed are: inorganic particles containing a carbon material, wherein the carbon material is adhered to the surfaces of the particles and wherein the carbon material is contained more homogeneously; and a process for producing the particles. Specifically disclosed is a process for producing particles containing a carbon material, which is characterized by comprising: a mixing step of introducing a dispersion comprising the carbon material and a solvent and inorganic particles into a cylindrical housing of a mixer and agitating the resulting mixture by means of a mixing means placed beneath of the housing, thereby preparing a paste-like material; and a mixing/drying step of evaporating the solvent to dryness while agitating the paste-like material. The mixer comprises the housing in which a material to be caused to flow is accommodated and the mixing means, wherein the mixing means comprises at least an upflow mixing blade that can be rotated to generate an upward flow that is to be applied to the material accommodated in the housing and a shear mixing blade which can be rotated to shear the material accommodated in the housing.
