Title:
PARTICULATE COMBUSTION CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/004689
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a particulate combustion catalyst in which a catalyst component supported by a carrier is composed of an alloy that comprises 85-20 at% of Ag and 15-80 at% of at least one noble metal that is selected from the group consisting of Pd, Pt and Au. The particulate combustion catalyst has excellent heat resistance, and is capable of oxidizing and removing soot at low temperatures. In addition, the particulate combustion catalyst is capable of oxidizing and removing soot at low temperatures regardless of the NOx concentration in an exhaust gas since an oxidation reaction proceeds even when there is oxygen only. Also disclosed are: a method for producing the particulate combustion catalyst; a particulate filter which is coated with the particulate combustion catalyst; a method for producing the particulate filter; and an exhaust gas purifying apparatus which comprises the particulate filter that is coated with the particulate combustion catalyst.
