Abstract:
Disclosed is a particulate composite and the like capable of being a precursor for a small particle, low-crystalline lithium transition metal silicate compound. Also disclosed is a cathode active material substance, containing a lithium transition metal silicate compound, which demonstrates a charge/discharge reaction at room temperature. The composite comprises silicon oxide particles, transition metal oxide particles and lithium transition metal silicate particles, where the silicon oxide particles and transition metal oxide particles have powder X-ray diffraction peaks in the vicinity of 2θ = 33.1° and 2θ = 35.7° and are amorphous, and the lithium transition metal silicate particles are microcrystals. Further disclosed is a cathode active material substance obtained by powdering an active material aggregate produced by heat treating the particulate composite.
