Title:
PARTICULATE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND TRANSPARENT RESIN COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/168197
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a particulate material that can achieve mechanical characteristics and optical characteristics different from those of conventional particulate materials when dispersed in a transparent resin material. It was found that an aggregate of primary particles having a particle size within a predetermined range can maintain optical characteristics and have improved mechanical characteristics compared to when the particle size is simply increased. Furthermore, by configuring each of the primary particles such that the inner portion and surface thereof have different compositions regarding inorganic materials, it is possible to also contain an inorganic material that had been difficult to employ mainly for reasons other than optical characteristics thereof. It was also found that, since the compositions regarding inorganic materials are independently set in the surface and inner portion of each of the primary particles, optical characteristics obtained are more easily controlled unlike when using an inorganic substance in which the two compositions are mixed together at the atomic level. The particulate material according to the present invention is an aggregate of primary particles each having a specific surface area diameter of 0.8-80 nm, and formed of an inorganic substance having different compositions in the surface and inner portion thereof.
