Abstract:
If a particulate matter combustion device has a charging unit that charges PM but is not provided with a processing unit for processing PM, a PM recovery mechanism such as a blower is necessary. The PM recovery mechanism requires a volume of roughly twice that of a dust collection unit; therefore, the problem of the device becoming large exists. In a first embodiment of the present invention, a particulate matter combustion device is provided with: a dust collection unit for charging particulate matter in a gas containing particulate matter by a first electric discharge mechanism and collecting the same; and a combustion unit for reacting active oxygen generated by a second discharge mechanism different from the first discharge mechanism and the collected particulate matter.
