Title:
PARTICULATE-MATTER PROCESSING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/124090
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention inhibits excessive current from flowing through an electrode. The following are provided: an electrode provided in the exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine; a power supply that is connected to and applies a voltage to said electrode; an air-fuel ratio detection device that detects or estimates the air-fuel ratio of exhaust emissions flowing through the exhaust passage; and a power upper-limit setting device that, if the air-fuel ratio detected or estimated by the air-fuel ratio detection device is rich, sets an upper limit for the amount of power supplied to the electrode from the power supply.
