Disclosed is a particulate matter trapping device. The particulate matter trapping device comprises: filter brushes (30), a housing (10) and a gas ionising device (20), wherein several through holes penetrate from a gas intake face of the housing (10) to a gas outlet face of the housing (10), the filter brushes (30) are inserted into the through holes (13) in one to one correspondence, the filter brush (30) is in contact with a side wall of the corresponding through hole (13); the material of the housing (10) is an electrically conductive metal, and the material of the filter brush (30) comprises a piezoelectric material; the gas ionising device (20) is mounted on the gas intake face of the housing (10), the gas ionising device (20) is provided to charge particulate matter in the air when air flows through the gas ionising device (20) and transmit same to the through holes (13); the filter brush (30) is provided to use the pressure of the air against the filter brush (30), when air flows through the through holes (13), to produce an electric charge and conduct same to a side wall of the corresponding through hole (13); and the housing (10) is provided to trap particulate matter in the air when there is an electric charge in the side wall of the through holes (13).
