PARTITIONED COMPOSITE CEILING APPLICATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2009/020441
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This invention relates to structuring of the ceiling of the composite ceiling buses, from at least three sections (1, 2, and 3), separation of the middle section (2), from the front (1) and back (3) sections with separation profiles (5) and separation of middle section (2), which has the weakest resistance because of the forces that affect the ceiling in case of overturn and on which the air conditioner (4) is mounted, from the ceiling by breaking out easily without giving harm to the ceiling structure.

Description:

DESCRIPTION

PARTITIONED COMPOSITE CEILING APPLICATION

Subject of the invention

This invention relates to the separation of the ceiling into three sections, in order to prevent the ceiling of composite ceiling buses from being broken randomly/ disorderly in case of overturn; and separation of one of these three sections, on which the air conditioner is mounted, primarily without giving harm to the structure of the ceiling in case of overturn.

State of Prior Art

In the present state of art there exist two types of ceilings, one of which is profile structured bus ceiling application, and the other is composite ceiling application. Composite structured ceiling applications are usually used instead of profile structured ceiling applications since they are light.

In the present state of art, the composite ceiling applications are generally consist of two pieces and they are not supported by any ceiling profile structures. Because of this reason, with the weight of the air conditioner, the ceiling fractures at the moment of overturn especially from the weak air conditioner connection sections, and because of these disordered fractures it breaks by smashing. As a result of disintegration of the ceiling like this, the damage ratio

of the bus which undergoes strength reduction increases and needless to say, loss of lives and goods can not be prevented .

In the monolithic composite ceiling applications, because of the holes which are drilled for the montage of the air conditioner, there occur some sections where stress intension is higher which have lower resistance towards any force than the other sections. The air conditioner connection parts, where the stress intension is higher in material structure, are the parts where first fractures occur because of the forces which affect the ceiling at the moment of overturn and the effect of the weight of air conditioner. (Figure 2)

These occurred fractures go along the ceiling disorderly and cause strength reduction of the ceiling, and break by smashing. Breaking of the ceiling like this without showing the required strength results in strength reduction in the bus side walls and creates security problems.

Detailed Description of the invention

The application which is the subject of the invention relates to; separation of the ceiling into at least three sections

(1, 2, 3), separation of the air conditioner section (2), which is in the middle, from the front (1) and back (3) sections with separation profiles (5) and separation of the middle section (2) from the ceiling at the moment of overturn on which the air conditioner (4) , which is a different section, is mounted; in order to prevent the loss of strength and security problems arising from the ceiling's smashing as a result of the random/ disordered fractures on the

connection parts of the air conditioner in case of overturn of composite ceiling buses.

In the ceiling application which is the subject of the invention, the middle section (2) on which the air conditioner (4) is mounted, is separated from the front (1) and back (3) sections with separation profiles (5) (Figure 3) . This middle section (2) is the weakest resistant section for the forces that affect the ceiling at the moment of overturn. Because, the forces that affect the ceiling provides the middle section (2) of which the strength is reduced by the air conditioner montage holes (6) to break out of the ceiling easily and at the earliest moment.

By the help of the separation profiles (5) which separate the middle section (2) from the front (1) and back (3) section, dispersing of the fractures along the other sections is prevented and the sections are isolated from each other in this sense. By this means the middle section (2) is separated from the ceiling by breaking off without giving harm to the neighboring sections (Figure 4) .

Shortly, random/ disordered fractures which cause strength reduction by giving harm to all of the ceiling structure are prevented by the help of partitioned ceiling application which is the subject of the invention.
