Abstract:
Provided is a poly(arylene sulfide) (PAS) resin composition from which molded articles having satisfactory mechanical strength, in particular, impact strength, are obtained.
The PAS resin composition comprises
(A) 100 parts by mass of pellets of PAS-resin-impregnated long fibers, which have been obtained by impregnating a continuous-fiber bundle made up of bundled continuous fibers arranged in parallel along the lengthwise direction, with a molten-state PAS resin to integrate the continuous fibers with the resin and cutting the impregnated bundle into a length of 4-50 mm, and
(B) 0.005-0.1 part by mass of a lubricant ingredient comprising one or more substances selected from the group consisting of fatty acid amides, fatty acid esters, fatty acid metal salts, and polyethylene waxes.
