Abstract:
A harmonic drive gearing (1) is a negative-deflection harmonic drive gearing. The tooth profile shape of an internally toothed gear (2) is stipulated using a convex basic tooth profile curve, which is the curve from an inflection point (A) to a minimum point (B) in a movement locus (Mc) determined by approximating the rack meshing of an externally toothed gear (3) with the internally toothed gear (2). The tooth profile shape of the main cross section of the externally toothed gear (3) is stipulated by a concave basic tooth profile curve. The concave basic tooth profile curve is a curve created in the externally toothed gear (3) while the convex basic tooth profile curve of the internally toothed gear (2) is moving from the peak point (C) to the inflection point (A) in the movement locus (Mc). Pass-type meshing is achieved, which is advantageous for lubrication, and bending stress in the root rim of the externally toothed gear (3) can be reduced.
