Abstract:
This passenger boarding bridge is equipped with: a rotunda which is connected to a terminal building; a tunnel portion which is connected to the rotunda so as to be vertically movable; an elevation device which supports the tunnel portion in such a manner that the tunnel portion is raised or lowered; a cab which is provided at the leading end of the tunnel portion; a distance measuring device which measures a reference distance from the ground to the cab or tunnel portion; a level measuring device which, after the cab is connected to a boarding portion of an aircraft, measures the amount of deviation of the relative distance between the floor surface of the boarding portion of the aircraft and the floor surface of the cab; and a control device which controls the elevation device so that the cab connected to the boarding portion of the aircraft follows the vertical movement of the aircraft on the basis of the measurement values of the distance measuring device and the level measuring device.
