Abstract:
A passenger cabin seating arrangement for a transportation tool, comprising: at least two seats, namely a first seat (1) and a second seat (2). The second seat (2) is placed in front of a seating row defined by the first seat (1), wherein a forward protrusion formed by the second seat does not exceed half the length of a row spacing. The first seat and the second seat both have a seating surface narrower than the width of a seating surface of a standard seat. The seating arrangement improves shoulder and arm space when the cabin is fully-seated, thereby improving seating comfort. The total width of each of the seating rows is narrower than the total width of a seating row comprising the same number of the standard seats. Under specified conditions, the number of seats for each of the seating rows can be increased, thereby increasing the number of seats in a transportation tool and reducing an operational cost.
