Abstract:
Provided is a passenger conveyor handrail tensile body inspection device that can more reliably detect the breakage of a wire in tensile bodies. The passenger conveyor handrail tensile body inspection device comprises: a magnetizer that is arranged on the front-surface side of a moving handrail of a passenger conveyor, and magnetizes a cut wire in a tensile body of the moving handrail in the longitudinal direction of the moving handrail; and a magnetic sensor that is arranged alongside the magnetizer on the front-surface side of the moving handrail, and when the moving handrail moves so as to approach from the magnetizer side, magnetizes the wire magnetized by the magnetizer in a direction opposite to the direction of magnetization by the magnetizer, and detects a change in the magnetic field.
