Abstract:
Provided are a passenger conveyor renewal tool and renewal method whereby it is possible to increase the degree of freedom of the process. A renewal tool (11) used in the renewal method comprises a first device-side temporary connector (12a), a control-side temporary cable (13), and a plurality of first short-circuit terminals (21a). Each of a plurality of first device-side terminals (22a) of the first device-side temporary connector (12a) is connected to a corresponding first new control device among the plurality of first new control devices arranged in the first area of a passenger conveyor. The control-side temporary cable (13), which is connected in series to a control circuit (19) for an existing control panel (6), has a plurality of first control-side terminals (15a) in series, each of which is detachably connected to the corresponding first device-side terminal (22a) of the plurality of first device-side terminals (22a). Each of the plurality of first short-circuit terminals (21a) detachably connected to the first control-side terminals (15a) short-circuits the connected first control-side terminal (15a).
