Abstract:
A guardrail retaining tool is provided to an inclined part of a truss in a passenger conveyor. A transparent plate-form guardrail body is retained by the guardrail retaining tool. An outer deck is provided to the side of the guardrail body that is opposite from a step. As seen from a cross-section orthogonal to the direction of movement of the step, a truss upper chord member in the inclined part is positioned lower than the upper surface of the outer deck, and a lower end of the chord member in the inclined part is positioned higher than a nose line that is the movement locus of the tip end of the step.
