Abstract:
Provided are a passive optical network communication method, device and system. The method comprises: receiving an Ethernet packet, wherein the Ethernet packet carries an optical network unit identifier; searching for a correlation between the optical network unit identifier and the type of an optical network unit according to the optical network unit identifier, and determining that an optical network unit that receives the Ethernet packet is a first type optical network unit, wherein the types of optical network units comprise: a first type optical network unit and a second type optical network unit, with packet receiving rates of the two being different; according to the first type optical network unit, searching for a correlation between the type of an optical network unit and a channel, and determining a channel corresponding to the first type optical network unit; and encapsulating the Ethernet packet into a generic encapsulation method (GEM) frame and sending same to the first type optical network unit through the determined channel. The embodiments of the present application improve the transmission rate of the entire line by increasing the baud rate sent by an OLT while taking a deployed ONU into consideration.
