Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polytetrafluoroethylene-containing paste that is less prone to molding defects at the same time as enabling the polytetrafluoroethylene thickness of a polytetrafluoroethylene molded article to be made very thin, and a method for producing the same. The present invention is a method for producing a paste, the method being characterized in including: a step for precipitating primary particles in an aqueous dispersion containing primary particles of polytetrafluoroethylene and water, and generating secondary particles of polytetrafluoroethylene suspended in water or a slurry containing secondary particles of polytetrafluoroethylene and water; and a step for adding an organic solvent to the secondary particles of polytetrafluoroethylene suspended in the slurry or water, or both, and obtaining a paste.
